The International Symposium on Cultural Heritage Conservation by Digitalization took place at the Zhongguancun International Innovation Center, Haidian District, Beijing, PRC from July 16-19, 2024. This year’s theme was Re-Shape: Digital Heritage Driven by Technological Innovation.

The CIPA Heritage Documentation Executive Committee would like to thank the organizers for the collaboration and for executing such a wonderful event for all. CHCD2024 was organized by Tsinghua University, the Haidian District People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, and CIPA Heritage Documentation, with ICOMOS China and the Tsinghua Heritage Institution for Digitization (THID).

The symposium included insightful international panels, excellent paper and poster presentations, cultural and innovative digital exhibitions, exciting excursions to heritage sites, and a wonderful gala dinner with Kuche culture showcased through song and dance.

This event marked the 5th CHCD symposium supported by CIPA Heritage Documentation, 10 years of joint efforts since 2014, and we look forward to the continued collaboration!
