“OpenHeritage3D: making primary 3D cultural heritage data open and accessible”
CIPA is pleased to announce that its President, Professor Fulvio Rinaudo, will be presenting at an upcoming event organized within the PhD Course in Architectural Heritage at the Politecnico di Torino. The lecture will focus on the visualization and sharing of 3D data related to cultural heritage through the OpenHeritage3D project.
The seminar will take place on Tuesday, February 11th, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Castello del Valentino, in the SALA riunioni DAD, first floor of the new wing. The event will be introduced by Professor Monica Naretto and Professor Filiberto Chiabrando, who coordinate the PhD Program in Architectural Heritage.
Joining Professor Rinaudo as a speaker will be Scott McAvoy, 3D Data Scientist at the University of California San Diego and manager of the OpenHeritage3D web platform. Together, they will explore key topics in heritage documentation, with a focus on improving accessibility and sharing of 3D data for conservation, exploitation, and public use of cultural heritage.
We invite all interested researchers, professionals, and students to attend this insightful seminar. Stay connected with CIPA for further updates and follow us on social media for more news on heritage documentation initiatives.
