CIPA is happy to announce its 6th Heritage Documentation Summer School on “Cultural Heritage 3D Surveying and Modelling” which will take place from 14-20 July 2019 in Gyeongju, Republic of Korea. As with the past five editions, this summer school will consist of theoretical lectures (on photogrammetry/computer vision, laser scanning, photography and total station survey) and practical work, in the field and in the lab.
CIPA – Heritage Documentation announces an open call for the hosting of the 28th CIPA International Symposium to be held in late summer 2021.
Candidates interested in applying to this call, should complete this dedicated application and send it to the Secretary General until 28 June 2019.
All applications will be discussed during the Executive Board meeting at the 27th CIPA International Symposium, organised in Avila, 1-5 September 2019 . The applicants will be invited to offer a presentation (20-30 minutes) and respond to questions.
From the 2nd to the 5th of May 2019, the second Underwater 3D recording & modelling workshop will take place in Limassol, Cyprus. The event follows up on a first successful workshop held in 2015 in Sorrento.
In January 2019, CIPA will have its first photogrammetry field school in Manila (the Philippines). More information about this activity can be found on this webpage.
The 27th international CIPA symposium will take place in Ávila (Spain) from the 1st to the 5th of September 2019. This symposium will be the second international congress that CIPA-ICOMOS celebrates in Spain after twenty-seven years. Feel welcome to join nearly half a thousand experts in cultural heritage documentation and conservation.
From the 6th to the 8th of February 2019, ISPRS and CIPA organise the 8th International Workshop 3D-ARCH “3D Virtual Reconstruction and Visualization of Complex Architectures“. 3D-ARCH is a series of international workshops which started in 2005 in Venice and moved throughout the years to Zurich (2007), Trento (2009, 2011, 2013), Avila (2015) and and Napflio (2017).
From the 23rd of July to the 1st of August 2018, the Polytechnic University of Milan (Italy) organises its 7th summer school on surveying cultural heritage. This course, which takes place at the Sacred Mount Calvary of Domodossola in Italy, will allow students to get into contact with the practical and theoretical aspects of documenting and managing cultural heritage. Although this summer school is not organised by CIPA, many of the tutors also teach during the annual CIPA summer schools.
